Manufacturing Engineering Liaison, Robotics - Weld

Description

Key Job Elements

  • Provide support to shop floor colleagues and supervisors to ensure efficient production processes
  • Provide programming and troubleshooting support to robotic weld cells
  • Support the creation of new robotic welding programs as well as the maintenance and parameter control for existing welding programs
  • Support continuous improvement including the identification and selection of new robotic weld equipment
  • Coordinate Discrepant Material Control and Material Review Board processes along with Deviations
  • Develop and report on audits, material reviews, deviations, material purges, rework packages and Interim Repair Authorizations
  • Provide Technical Document Control (TDC) support for both hard copy and electronic work instructions, as required
  • Facilitate timely problem resolution of all Manufacturing issues
  • Collect data to support Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action performed by Manufacturing Engineering Development and Integration Leads
  • Support Production Readiness build process on complex builds to resolve potential issues prior to production schedule start
  • On-call support and shift work as required


Required Qualifications

  • College Diploma Technician – Welding & Robotics / Manufacturing Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience of robotic weld programming in a production environment
  • Detailed knowledge of robotic welding and setting weld parameters (GMAW)
  • Ability to troubleshoot various robotic software and hardware defects


Preferred Qualifications

  • College Diploma Technologists – Welding & Robotics / Manufacturing Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with welding processes, procedures and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T)
  • Knowledge of Teamcenter, Maximo and TipQA
