Job Description:
3M is seeking an Activation Marketer for its Transportation and Electronics Business Group supporting the Commercial Solutions Division, located in Ontario. The successful candidate will make an impact by driving demand generation programs, localizing prioritized marketing campaigns in Canada, and carrying out marketing activities to support growth in the Facility Care and Food segments.
Key metrics include local currency growth, demand generation, return on investment on marketing programs, promotional calendar execution, spending as per marketing budget, achieving new product introduction (NPI) milestones and sales forecasts, and supporting sales enablement.
This role is currently remote with the potential for hybrid into the London, ON offices, pending COVID restrictions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Create and execute the country marketing activation plan and calendar for strategic business segments
- Leads localization and activation of global or area programs to generate demand including campaign management and reviews to drive optimization of tactics
- Understand and drive improvements to the local customer experience from initial visit to path to purchase
- Build a strong relationship with customers and sales teams to deliver programs/promotions/new product materials that align with business priorities
- Liaise with cross functional teams such as area portfolio, channel and segment marketing teams, area marketing center and application engineering teams to represent market and customer
- Be the expert in local customer needs, trends and competition in order to identify opportunities to drive end-to-end activation in priority segments
- Ensure activation content and programs meet local legal, language and regulatory requirements
- Manage AdMerch spending
- Support product introduction, NPI voice of market, ideas, local needs, participate on global NPI team/with area product marketers
To set you up for success in this role from Day 1, 3M requires (at minimum) the following qualifications
- Post-secondary education (Business, Commerce, Marketing preferred)
- 3 years of experience in B2B Marketing
- 1 year of experience in Digital Marketing
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience in marketing disciplines (e.g. digital marketing, campaign management, CRM, customer experience, etc.)
- Previous experience interacting with a field sales team
- Strong analytical skills, strong critical thinking skills, and ability to interpret various data, drive to decisions
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) with an ability to clearly convey complex information to diverse audiences
- Experience with Microsoft Office, SAP, PowerBI, Salesforce
Travel: In this role, you will be required to travel approximately 20% of the time, which may involve overnight stays. A valid driver’s license is required.
