Position Title: Auto Parts Store Counterperson/Shipper/Receiver
Location: London, ON
Type of Employment: Full-time permanent
Compensation: Starting wage $17.00 per hour commensurate with experience & comprehensive group benefits


Hours:

  • Monday to Friday 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Occasional Saturdays 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Position Summary
Canusa/APC fosters long-lasting relationships with our customers. We establish connections built on trust, transparency, and dedication. The primary objective of this role is to provide professional customer service and process orders using personal automotive knowledge, company systems and parts catalogues. The individual will also pick, ship, receive, stock and organize automotive parts and accurately deliver parts according to customer requirements. Effective use of company resources and tools is an integral part of this role, as well as meeting and setting customer service goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quality customer service and assist customer inquiries both in-person and over the phone using automotive knowledge, company systems and parts catalogues
  • Answer all inbound calls promptly and make follow-up calls to customers in a professional manner
  • Pick, receive, ship, stock and organize auto parts orders
  • Help control inventory and ensure product availability
  • Help coordinate with the main warehouse for stock-related concerns
  • Efficiently and safely load auto parts onto vehicles and deliver them to destinations when necessary
  • Coordinate the drivers for effective dispatching of vehicles
  • Help maintain a clean and organized store
  • Other duties as assigned by the Store Manager/District Manager

Key Requirements and Experiences
  • A valid G Driver’s license and clean 3-year abstract required
  • Customer service experience
  • Automotive aftermarket parts experience (customer service, sales, repair)
  • Picking, receiving, shipping, stocking experience an asset
  • Basic computer skills (e.g. ability to use and navigate Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel, online database and web-based training)
  • Basic mathematical skills and understanding of basic units of measurement
  • Ability to sort items alphanumerically

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to lift and move 10 lbs. (4.5 kg) to 50 lbs. (22.7 kg) safely and consistently
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, twist, lift and bend on a regular basis
