Role Purpose: The Supply Chain and Production Control Manager at Wolfe spearheads the optimization of supply chain operations and material flow while ensuring production efficiency. Through strategic sourcing and analytical problem-solving, they drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality standards. This leader develops team capabilities and implements best practices to achieve operational excellence and meet business objectives

Reports To: Plant Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define supply chain and production planning forecasting structure for Wolfe – taking sales forecast and translating it into the purchasing and production forecasts.
  • Create and implement internal supply chain processes and procedures, assess for efficiency
  • Create and implement internal material flow processes and procedures, asses for efficiency
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators and metrics for supply chain planning and forecasting, production scheduling and inventory control; enact changes based on findings (departmental SQDC)
  • Develop the supplier relationship management system for Wolfe.
  • Regularly report on supply chain and material control performance to leadership team.
  • Seek and establish ways to further align supply chain unit with the organization's financial revenue goals.
  • Manage and adhere to an annual budget for supply chain functions across the organization.
  • Lead the supply chain and production control team - coaching/development of team members, growing capacity and capability to align with company objectives and goals
  • Define and implement inventory structure to align with business goals and objectives
  • Creation of visual management system within department

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or diploma in business, with a focus on supply chain management, production control, manufacturing, or materials management
  • 3-5 years of direct work experience in a supply chain management, forecasting or production control position
  • Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management
  • Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain principles, and experience with implementation
  • Familiarity with supply chain management (SCM) software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and/or material requirements planning (MRP) software
  • Demonstrated understanding of integrated supply chain and logistics concepts and theories
  • Advanced procurement and supplier negotiation abilities
