Machine Builder/442A Electrician

We are currently looking for a team-oriented full-time Machine Builder with an extensive background in industrial electric work to join our team.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Electrical Lead, this role is responsible for the mechanical build, bench assembly, floor assembly, testing, disassembly, installation, and integration of robotic work cells, mechanical assemblies, and factory automation products as well as assembling, wiring, and installing all electrical aspects of industrial machinery.
The responsibilities for this position will include:
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electromechanical, electrical, and electronic components of machinery and equipment, including transformers, generators exciters, and hydraulic and pneumatic devices.
- Responsible for the assembly of control panels, cabinets, and sub-assemblies, involving wiring, crimping, and working with wire harnesses.
- Proceed with floor assembly according to floor plan layout, assembling the job in a safe and proper order.
- Advise designers of any design issues and collaborate with the team to resolve.
- Participate in the debug/integration of the line and station start up.
- Run assembled machines with the team to verify functionality of operator stations, operator interface, loading and unloading areas, and guarding for ease of maintenance.
- Coordinate and participate in tear down and shipping of the equipment, dismantling in an orderly fashion to minimize the installation time at customer’s site.
- Be an ambassador for Armo Tool at the customer’s site, providing a quick and efficient installation of equipment.
Education, Skills and Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Degree in Electrical Technician related field from a certified college or institution considered an asset.
- Enrollment in 442A Electrical Apprenticeship or license considered an asset.
- Enrollment in 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) apprenticeship or license considered an asset.
- Ability to read prints and make changes on the fly and identify deficiencies with design.
- Knowledge of electrical code/electrical safety.
- Understanding of machine wiring cable routing.
- Interconnecting methods.
- Previous experience with control panel building considered an asset.
- Basic hand and power tool knowledge.
- Able to travel within North America to support machine installation and start-up.
