The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Controls Engineering Manager to lead our talented team in designing and developing automation systems for industrial processing equipment.

You will play a key role in shaping the future of our controls strategy driving technical innovation, guiding system design and implementation, and developing a high-performing, engaged team.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of control engineers fostering collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence
• Oversee full lifecycle controls projects: design, programming, testing, and commissioning
• Develop and implement team goals, KPIs, and long-term strategies aligned with company growth
• Manage project timelines, priorities, and resources to ensure successful delivery
• Guide PLC and HMI design using Allen-Bradley (CompactLogix, ControlLogix) and Beckhoff TwinCAT platforms
• Partner with business development and product teams to execute new product roadmaps
• Drive continuous improvement standardizing processes, increasing efficiency, and enhancing code quality
• Stay current on automation trends and technologies to keep Parmerit at the forefront of innovation

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related field
• 5+ years in a leadership or managerial role within industrial automation or manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of control systems (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, field devices)
• Experience programming and troubleshooting robotics (Fanuc, Motoman, ABB, etc.)
• Proven ability to manage complex projects balancing scope, quality, and deadlines
• Excellent people leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of safety and compliance standards (NFPA 79, IEC 61131, ISO 13849, CSA, UL, CE)
• Willingness to travel occasionally for installations and commissioning
