The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Controls Engineering Manager to lead our talented team in designing and developing automation systems for industrial processing equipment.
You will play a key role in shaping the future of our controls strategy driving technical innovation, guiding system design and implementation, and developing a high-performing, engaged team.

What You’ll Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of control engineers fostering collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence
- Oversee full lifecycle controls projects: design, programming, testing, and commissioning
- Develop and implement team goals, KPIs, and long-term strategies aligned with company growth
- Manage project timelines, priorities, and resources to ensure successful delivery
- Guide PLC and HMI design using Allen-Bradley (CompactLogix, ControlLogix) and Beckhoff TwinCAT platforms
- Partner with business development and product teams to execute new product roadmaps
- Drive continuous improvement standardizing processes, increasing efficiency, and enhancing code quality
- Stay current on automation trends and technologies to keep Parmerit at the forefront of innovation
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related field
- 5+ years in a leadership or managerial role within industrial automation or manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of control systems (PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, field devices)
- Experience programming and troubleshooting robotics (Fanuc, Motoman, ABB, etc.)
- Proven ability to manage complex projects balancing scope, quality, and deadlines
- Excellent people leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of safety and compliance standards (NFPA 79, IEC 61131, ISO 13849, CSA, UL, CE)
- Willingness to travel occasionally for installations and commissioning
