Human Resources Associate

Job Summary:
This is an on-site, full-time 12-month contract position. The successful candidate will be supporting the activities of the Human Resources team to maximize its effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Works directly with hiring managers to recruit for multiple departments.
- Performs full-cycle recruitment, including posting job ads, prescreening candidates, scheduling interviews and practical tests, carrying out interviews, and following up with candidates.
- Carries out on-boarding processes for new hires, including coordinating completion of background checks, generating all required documentation, and assisting in delivering orientations.
- Creates employee paper and electronic files for new hires and maintains existing files.
- Works collaboratively with all members of the HR team, provides the HR team with a wide variety of HR administrative and clerical support, and performs other tasks as needed.
- Provide secretarial support by entering, formatting, and printing information.
- Conducts all work in accordance with Health and Safety policies.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Support other functions as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a college diploma or a university degree program related to HR, or Business preferred.
- Effective administrative, organizational and time management skills.
- Intermediate Word, Excel, and Power Point skills.
- An eager-to-learn attitude, strong work ethic and effective communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong attention to detail, and ability to follow through on commitments and deadlines.
- Good data analysis skills and ability to work with numbers are assets.
- Ability to recognize, handle and protect highly sensitive and confidential information.
