The Aviation Technical Publications Coordinator is responsible for managing the development, revision, and distribution of technical documentation necessary for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of aircraft. This role ensures that all technical publications are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Documentation Management:

• • Manage all incoming change requests to revise technical manuals.
  • Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and other subject matter experts to gather accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Maintain a comprehensive and organized document management system.

• Compliance and Quality Assurance:

• • Implement quality control processes to maintain document accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct audits and reviews of technical publications to identify and correct errors or outdated information.

• Distribution and Accessibility:

• • Manage the process for uploading of technical documents to Diamond’s website.
  • Implement and manage electronic document management systems (EDMS) for easy access and retrieval of documents.

• Coordination and Communication:

• • Liaise with various departments (engineering, maintenance, operations) to ensure documentation reflects current practices and procedures.
  • Maintain records of review and comments from all stakeholders for technical manual updates.
  • Work with the Technical Publications staff to coordinate the grouping of all change requests into scheduled revisions of manuals.
  • Coordinate with the Airworthiness team on obtaining regulatory approval for Approved manuals.

• Project Management:

• • Oversee projects related to the development and implementation of new documentation systems or updates to existing ones.
  • Maintain tracking of progress and completion of all technical publications

• Training and Support:

• • Provide training and support to staff on the use and interpretation of technical publications.
  • Develop user guides and training materials as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, engineering, technical writing, or a related field is a plus.
• Experience in technical writing, documentation management, or a related role within the aviation industry.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite and project management tools
• Familiar with the following technical writing standards is a plus:

• • ATA Spec 100, iSpec 2200
  • SD2000D (or equivalent)
  • AMTOSS (Aircraft Maintenance and Task Oriented Support System)

• Certifications related to aviation safety and quality management (such as AS9100) are advantageous.
