The Opportunity

 

We are recruiting a quality-conscious and detail oriented Mechanical-Electrical Assembler to grow with us at SLEEGERS. The successful candidate will join our Production Team in the assembly of our smart-enabled, automated barbeque cylinder exchange kiosk. Your core responsibilities will include:

 

  • Working independently in a full-cycle, cellular assembly environment
  • Reading and interpreting engineering assembly drawings and detailed work instructions
  • Accurately completing station routing sheets and operational checklists
  • Preparing for work to be accomplished by gathering parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials
  • Performing assembly and rework of simple wire harness assemblies
  • Assisting the Quality Team with basic troubleshooting, diagnostics and repair work, as necessary

 

The Ideal Candidate

 

  • Has a mechanical aptitude and is comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools
  • Embraces our high productivity work environment by positively contributing to the team effort and meeting or exceeding production targets
  • Understands the importance of our high degree of product quality and compliance to health and safety standards
  • High school diploma, or equivalent, is preferred
  • Previous hands-on assembly experience in a production environment, is considered an asset
