Digital Print Operator

Purpose of Position:

To produce high quality colour and Black and white output from the Digital Print equipment including Xerox Iridesse Versant and Nuvera 314s.

Key result areas of the position:

• Ensure appropriate daily Production Flow to meet Customer Commitments
• ISO 9001 quality control
• Ensure appropriate level of After-hours Customer Service Response

Activities and Tasks:

• Operating Xerox Digital production process
• Post Press Finishing and Packaging
• Polar cutters
• Coil binding
• Collating
• Drilling
• UV Coating
• Business card slitting
• Scoring and packaging
• Assist in equipment maintenance
• Production reporting
• Manufacture of product within the scope of the department
• Customer Service in the absence of regular Customer Service staff
• Other work as may be assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a team with positive attitude
• Production of digital print products in both colour and black and white preferably using Xerox
• Prepress production including digital prepress
• Post-press finishing of printed materials
• Common Graphic production software for both PC’s and Mac’s including Illustrator,
• Customer Service and Order-entry
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to solve problems including use of electronic spreadsheets and word-processing tools
