About the Opportunity
Reporting to Planning Manager, the Demand Planning Analyst will be responsible for determining the best metrics to use to provide the most accurate representation of the forecast. They will develop projections for sku base demand, the gather and analyze relevant information and use statistical data to perform applicable calculations. The role works closely with material planners, sourcing, production and other departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Collect, analyze and present data required for an ongoing decision making within supply chain function.
· Create forecasts by collecting and analyzing data using various forecast techniques (statistical and trend analysis).
· Error analysis (forecast accuracy) to improve forecasts & demand models as well as inventory data.
· Support various areas of supply chain function to ensure timely availability and accuracy of data used for decision making within various areas of the supply chain team.
· Work with materials planning through data analysis and troubleshooting to highlight opportunities for effective inventory management
· Support supply chain team with forecast data to suppliers and contract manufacturers for proper planning of raw materials and finished goods.
· Develop and execute projects to enhance supply chain planning accuracy requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
· University Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field, preferred;
· Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in a supply chain role, operations analyst or demand analyst role;
· Superior analytical and communication skills;
· Experience in a highly agile or just-in-time (JIT) working environment supporting multiple internal stakeholders
· Previous experience in CPG environment considered an asset
Preferred Skills
· Knowledge of material planning requirements processes (MRP)
· Microsoft Office Suite, SmartSheet, Microsoft Dynamics
