About the Job:

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer for our local manufacturing facility. This position will support the Maintenance Manager in the development, implementation and general oversight of effective maintenance systems that ensure all manufacturing equipment performs to its maximum capacity.

Responsibilities:

• Reports directly to the Maintenance Manager on an ongoing basis and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to company procedures and individual responsibilities that are being carried out in a safe, capable and satisfactory manner.
• Responsible for designing new or modifications to equipment or processes to improve uptime, quality, efficiency, productivity and cost.
• Work with team members, supervisors and contractors in the following areas: writing SOPs & technical machine troubleshooting reports
• Investigate internal and external quality issues and determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
• Assists with all aspects of equipment selection, design, installation, commissioning, start-up planning, and maintenance during life cycle.
• Develop and maintain maintenance operating procedures.
• Manage projects of various sizes from selection to implementation to ensure that requirements are met
• Create RFQ (Requisition for Quote), bid for contractor’s works, issue POs with SAP ERP program, supervise contractor’s works and make a final report.
• Draw CAD drawings as per layout, P&ID & machine modifications.

Qualifications:

· University degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment as a Maintenance Engineer.

· Proficiency with AutoCAD for layout, P&ID, existing machine updates and new machine design.

· Willingness to work in a 24/7 run operating facility.

· Flexible and open to receiving afterhours communication as well as participate in periodic shutdowns.

· Ability to review all technical documentation such as building layouts, flow diagrams, conveyor and equipment layouts, installation details (Required).

· Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking and able to work with minimal supervision.

· Proficient in Microsoft Suites such as Excel and Word.

· Able to handle multiple demands in a challenging and fast paced- team orientated environment.

· A great communicator.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to prioritize tasks.

· Ability to contribute effectively to any/all team efforts.

· Dependable with the mindset of getting the job done.
