We are looking for a Global Director, Product Management, to work with our global team, enabling customers to meet their water quality objectives by providing eco-efficient solutions that reduce and recover costs, energy, resources and space.

The Global Director, Product Management providesleadership and drives cross-functional alignment to deliver company objectives, including but not limited to:

 

  • Build and develop a high performing, growth-oriented Product Management team

  • including Quality, Growth, Price, Portfolio Management

  • Leads the prioritization and execution of new product development/launch initiatives focused on strengthening Trojans value proposition and improving customer life cycle experience (sustaining offerings) to support revenue and gross margin growth.

  • Ensure the team is doing the rights things (focusing on the critical few) and doing things right (leveraging DBS and best demonstrated practices)

  • Drive organizational alignment to successfully build and grow Trojan Technologies’ commercial capabilities and channel strength

 

Essential Functions

 

  • Define the appropriate product management organization for the company’s maturity/size and build and manage a high-performance team.

  • Monitor product performance from both a revenue, gross margin, price, and quality standpoint, with actionable plans to bring improvements on all three axes. Lead cross- functional problem solving when performance is not meeting targets.

  • In partnership with the Sales, Service and Marketing leaders, develops and drives the growth agenda of Trojan Technologies, leading commercial prioritization of new product development decision-making.

  • Deliver on product sustainment/ improvement (quality, compliance, maintenance funnel, part obsolescence, product hierarchy/reporting) and product obsolescence (PP5S, support for growth initiatives that involve phase-out)

  • Owns product portfolio roadmap prioritization across the organization to drive recommendations for growth of revenues and gross margins, including playing an important role in the annual strategic planning process.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing leader in the execution of Demand Creation Programs.

  • Develop launch strategies for new products; reviews existing commercialization strategies to optimize growth.

  • Ensure base business is intact, but the courage to review and challenge existing processes.

  • Optimize balanced KPI`s to measure the fectiveness of product management strategies and programs with key financial, quality, and portfolio optimization as drivers.

  • Develop the company´s global product management budget and manage costs in line with the budget.

  • Support in-organic business development (potential acquisitions, partnerships and alliances).

  • Drive execution of temporary countermeasures to problems even before root cause is determined to maintain customer satisfaction

Education, Background and Skill Requirements

 

  • BS or BA in Engineering or the Sciences required

  • 7 years relevant experience in product management/development or marketing, with 3-5 years in a leadership position.

  • Business background with MBA or equivalent highly desirable

  • Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels – ability to present highly complex, technical, or difficult messages clearly and persuasively

  • Exceptional track record of developing and implementing product commercialization strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives.

  • Strong portfolio management skills with demonstrated success across the major product management vectors of quality, growth, margin expansion, and new product launch.

  • Ability to do fact-based research and analysis of market, competitor and customer data.

  • Experience in product segmentation leading to competitive advantage in product and go- to-market strategy.

  • Experience with direct and distributor sales and support organizations in multiple technology platforms.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results driven team oriented environment – gets critical priorities done.

  • Proven track record building, leading, motivating and developing teams and building a world class marketing organization.

  • Experience and facility working in a lean / kaizen culture, with a track record of utilizing these methodologies in a commercial setting

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize clearly and manage finite resources

  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
