FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - LONDON
STIHL Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of ANDREAS STIHL AG & Co. KG in Germany, is a leader in the distribution of chain saws and handheld outdoor power equipment in Canada. We have an immediate opening for a Financial Accountant, working in London. Ideally, this person will live in the Greater London area. This is an on-site position with no travel expectations, reporting to the Accounting Supervisor.

Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation of sales tax remittances (multiple provinces).
- Assist with annual audit process and tax audits as they occur; preparation of audit working papers and documents.
- Assist with preparation of annual budget.
- Assist with various controlling related duties as required.
- Special reports, statistical analysis and projections utilizing financial data.
- Perform general accounting duties – analyse and reconcile general ledger accounts, update cash flow worksheets, post adjusting entries and accruals, general data entry.
- Process A/P, assist in payment runs, and reconciliations of A/P vendor accounts.
- Maintain accounting controls by following company policies and procedures, complying with government requirements.
- Additional monthly financial statement and related controlling activities as required.
Qualifications & Skills include:
- Completion or working towards an accounting designation or related experience.
- Post Secondary education in Accounting.
- 3-5 years work experience in Accounting and Finance including A/P.
- Experience with SAP software preferred.
- Experience working cooperatively within a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to pitch in and get the job done.
- Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
- Detail and deadline oriented, while maintaining high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
