AMPS Cell Lead
 

Serve as leader within AMPS pack cell, supporting on-time-delivery of AMPS orders and ensuring high pick/pack quality to meet daily performance targets.

 

Accountabilities

  • Maintain ability to support all functions within AMPS pack cell, across picking, packing, material presentation, Kanban execution, and parts movement across warehouses.

  • Assume leadership position within pack cell, allocating responsibilities and priorities for team members to ensure that customer demands are consistently met.

  • Ensure high quality material picking process by maintaining and improving upon check/verification processes

  • Investigate and implement countermeasures for pack cell quality issues

  • Assume central role in the ownership and reporting at AMPS Daily Management meetings; support DBS culture for AMPS team

  • Coordinate with AMPS Planner to ensure smooth coordination of order fulfillment, reporting of issues or capacity constraints

  • Serve as primary focal for Focused Factory Manager to report on resourcing challenges, equipment needs, long-term improvement plans, etc.

  • Assume ownership role within AMPS cell to ensure proper 5S practices are followed, and that cell is kept clean and orderly

  • Ensure Kanban execution and support Kanban purchase order process

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency, prioritizes customer demands

  • Works collaboratively with AMPS pack cell associates

  • Team player, able to allocate work instructions and identify opportunities for collective improvement

  • Excellent communicator, comfortable communicating across multiple functions

  • DBS mindset – seeks to drive continuous improvement through DM/VM, root cause mitigation

  • Familiarity with warehouse environment, able to meet rigorous physical demands and operate at high pace

  • Baan system and process knowledge an asset

  • Willingness to work overtime on as-needed basis
