Location: Tillsonburg, ON

Shifts Available: Afternoon Shift Mon-Thurs 5x8 3:00pm-11:00pm

Your Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Determine method of shipment and prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices and other shipping documents
  • Oversee loading and unloading of materials from trucks
  • Inspect and verify incoming materials against packing slips or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods
  • Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate areas
  • Count, weigh, sort, pack and unpack materials
  • Maintain internal record-keeping systems
  • Operate a lift truck and crane to load and unload materials onto and off trucks and loading docks, and to transport and store materials
  • Count, weigh, sort, pack and unpack materials
  • Operate a lift truck and/ or crane to load and unload materials onto and off trucks and loading docks
  • Clearing work area of all potential hazards
  • Proper staging and routing techniques for daily inventories of bins, parts and raw materials
  • Operation of FIFO system
  • Operation of POS system
  • Maintain accurate records of the amount, kind and location of parts and supplies on hand
  • Understand the proper flow of all documentation and records associated with material handling
  • Process, release and/or distribute parts and supplies for external usage
  • Recognize potential shortages of parts/materials and advise Area Leader
  • Follow MOS's relevant to position
  • 5 S activities as required
  • All other relevant duties

Key Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent of education and experience
  • Knowledge of procedures, policies and MOS's

Additional Technical and Professional Requirements:

  • Safe Operation of a Forklift and Propane Handling
  • Safe Operation of an Overhead Crane
