Key Job Elements
- Conduct parts consumption, inventory level and configuration analysis for various Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV) platforms
- Identify excess and obsolete material candidates and determine effects on other parts/assemblies where applicable
- Assess part candidates for reconfiguration/upgrade capability, obsoleting and supersession
- Develop part disposition recommendations with supporting data; scrap, rework or upgrade to new
- Review part numbers in material ordering system to correct erroneous entries
- Align part numbers in material ordering system to Nato Stock Numbers (NSNs) and maintain a cross-reference
- Data mine and query various data points to investigate/download parts data configuration, break in points (BIPs), and technical data for multiple orgs
- Analyze logistic data and develop reports for internal/external customers
- Develop parts lists to meet unit requirements as well as other programmatic activities
- Research part request errors and provide the originator with a solution
- Perform data comparisons and generate reports (CDRLs), develop presentations/charts
- Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced, multi-platform environment
- Develop and modify automated reports and macros to coalesce data for analyses and reporting
- Develop presentations and charts to support customer meetings on current issues with fielded products
- Track and process SRA’s (Structural Repair Assessments) and PHDA’s (Preliminary Hull Damage Assessments)
- Process paperwork in support of newly released part numbers
- Provide reach-back and/or on-site SME support to field organizations as required
Required Qualifications
- Working towards a University degree or College diploma
- Strong communication, organization, prioritization, analytical, oral, and written skills
- Proven performer in a results-oriented, dynamic, fast-paced, and multi-platform environment
- Basic understanding of parts provisioning, development of parts manuals, and configuration management or willingness to learn on the job
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Ability to navigate and interpret government contracts
- Demonstrated strength in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel & Power Point.
- Ability to travel (5% Cdn) and (5% US & Int'l) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
- Must hold or be able to obtain Canada Secret Level II Security Clearance
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Logistics Support experience supporting an automotive platform
- Experience and knowledge in military logistic support concepts and doctrine
- Experience with various systems such as Inventory management software systems, and technical drawing repositories
- Familiarity with configuration change process including generating, tracking and implementation of design changes
- Experience with computer programming, database development and manipulation
- Background in, or strong understanding of the provisioning process, development of parts manuals, and configuration management
- Demonstrated strength in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Access dB.
- Earn Value Management Systems (EVMS) familiarization
