Product Development Engineer

Synergy Windows and Doors Inc. is fast paced growing company making  Architectural Windows and Doors. Our Customer Service Representatives must be an effective part of the sales team, by developing good working relationships with our customer base; meeting quoting deadlines with follow-up to close the quoted project.

Job Requirements:

? Ownership of product design and development from conception through production and onward.

? Following design process to produce complete parametric CAD designs, drawing package for Manufacturing Engineering, and configurable Bill of Materials in Excel for IT

   department.

? Work with Quality Control and Manufacturing Engineers on identified issues related to design, components, processes, documentation, etc.

? Use various tools to perform root cause analysis and reach the best available solution

? Carrying out Engineering Change Orders, which will require interaction with multiple departments to develop optimal timing based on variables such as urgency of the change,     
   current stock position, forecast, effect on related SKU’s, scrap minimization, avoidance of manufacturing floor disruption, etc.

? Test designs and prototypes using various resources such as inside and outside rapid prototyping services, test labs, etc.

? Help process/machine parts and build windows and doors for prototyping and certification testing.

? Look for and act on continuous improvement opportunities that make yourself, your department, and our Company better.

? Ability to perform work on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and manage time wisely, all while being detail oriented.

? Ability to interact and work effectively in a team environment.

? Ability to complete small to large projects with little guidance, within given timeframe, and with low levels of rework.

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills to maintain regular verbal and written contact with team.
 

Skills and Experience:

·         4-year degree in: Engineering or equivalent

·         2-years experience in AutoCAD

·         Manufacturing experience is an asset

·         Window and Door experience is an asset
