Financial Compliance & Risk Management Specialist is a role in our Corporate Finance team.

 

This is an office-based role with the option of a hybrid work arrangement.

 

Must be available to come into the London, Ontario office 3 days per week.

You have post-secondary education in business administration or another relevant field and at least 4 years of experience. You possess high attention to detail and have knowledge of regulatory, compliance, commercial insurance. You have an ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and have strong oral and written communication skills. You are organized and have effective cost negotiation skills.

 

Reporting to our Director, Taxation, you will Administer the Trudell Medical and related family Group of Companies' financial compliance and insurance programs in accordance with relevant legislation, Company policies, and procedures.

 

Specifically, you will focus on:

 

Financial Compliance

  • Manage financial compliance reports, renewals, filings ensuring accuracy and timely filing and payment of fees
  • Draft financial documents and agreements related to corporate legal administration and maintain corporate financial records and resolutions, ensuring minute books are accurate and up to date with financial documents. Collaborate with Company legal department and external counsel, to ensure financial corporate records are maintained as per regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain financial compliance tracker and coordinate other Corporate Finance project tracking, dashboards and metrics
  • Develop and maintain financial compliance, insurance and other templates
  • Support Corporate Finance Manager with documenting financial policies and evaluating financial processes and controls

 

Insurance Program

  • Administer the Trudell Medical Group commercial insurance program
  • Assist in the identification and mitigation of insurance risks and emerging risks across the organization
  • Liaise with the Company’s insurance brokers and operations to provide information required for the annual renewals of various commercial coverages
  • Collaborate with finance departments to gather renewal documentation requirements
  • Tender the Company’s insurance program as required
  • Coordinate issuance of Certificate of Insurance documentation and respond to other insurance inquiries as per operating company requests
  • Review contract insurance provisions to ensure appropriate coverage maintained
  • Coordinate insurance risk management training and assessments with insurers and employees

 

Administration

  • Provide support and assist with ad hoc projects as required
  • Manage document retention ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Provide back-up support for fleet and expense management administration as required
