GCW is currently looking to add to our Production Team!

Production Team Members at GCW are responsible for the fulfillment of all final aspects of the Cabinetry design process. Production team members can be involved the beginning stages of Cabinetry completion to the final stage of the process and anywhere in-between.  In this role, team members could be required to run large equipment (automated CNC machines, Edgebanders etc.), smaller hand-held tools and sanding or painting equipment. The options are endless and the opportunity to learn is vast.

Role Responsibilities may Include:

  • Read schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams
  • Bolt, screw, clip, or otherwise fasten parts and components together using hand or power tools
  • Mark, record and report defects to appropriate Team Leader
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as prescribed
  • Clean and perform preparation of work area.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all health and safety policy and procedure.
  • Ensure that there is consistency across the methods used to complete a task
  • Foster an atmosphere of team work and cooperation throughout the Production Department

Essential Duties:

  • Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue and to effectively jump, sprint or throw an object.
  • Standing for a large portion of the workday
  • Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g., safety glasses, mask, safety boots, ear protection etc.).

  • Ability to self-manage time to produce multiple projects in a timely manner

Considered Assets:

  • Knowledgeable in the use of large and small machinery related to woodworking
  • A passion for woodworking which is shown throughout the work that is produced
  • Experience working with various materials such as wood, MDF, laminates etc.
  • Experience working in a production facility

Education:  High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Training in a postsecondary education is preferred but not required.
