Trojan Technologies is looking for an intermediate-level engineer who performs a variety of complex technical tasks, focused on performance verification and system integration of UVC Emitters under the general supervision of a senior engineer.
This position is part of the Innovation & Technology Team located in London, Ontario and will be hybrid.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Conduct comprehensive testing of UVC emitters against established standards and specifications.
Troubleshoot technical issues encountered during testing.
Support senior engineers with research, design, experiment setup, and development.
Regularly inspect and maintain test fixtures, equipment, and laboratory facilities to ensure optimal functionality and safety, and recommend upgrades or modifications to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and throughput.
Develop and write test specifications, standard operating procedures and test reports.
Analyze test data and share conclusions and recommendations with the relevant stakeholders
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering.
SolidWorks or similar experience.
Experience designing, building, and testing prototypes
Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
Good analytical and troubleshooting Skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Optical measurement and design
LabVIEW proficiency
Mechanical Fixturing
Mechanical/Electrical Instrumentation Experience
Experience with electrical drawing/ database design/ handling of small electronics / electrostatic discharge (ESD) safe practices
Proficiency in scripting languages and macros for numerical simulation (e. g. MATLAB, Python)
