Program Manager
Position Summary:

The Program Manager oversees the process and project portfolio of all projects and related activities ensuring all projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in accordance with various company stakes and metrics. This person leads cross-functional teams through all stages of product and project development while maintaining responsibility and compliance to Masco Canada’s standards, processes and business objectives.
What You’ll Bring:
- Incumbent must have a thorough understanding of engineering design and manufacturing fundamentals.
- Understanding of new product development Stage Gate process is preferred.
- Project Management certification is a plus.
- Must have 2+ years of hands-on experience in full time project management responsibilities.
- Participate in continual project management education and certification opportunities.
- Excellent collaboration skills and have demonstrated cross-functional leadership in previous roles.
- Must possess highly developed communication skills at all levels of the organization to influence others relative to company objectives as well as to clarify and maintain focus on team goals and objectives.
- Able to prioritize multiple, often competing priorities and be able to delegate and follow up appropriately. Demonstrated ability to creatively solve problems is also necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and Smartsheet are preferred.
- Project Management Certification (PMP) an asset
What You’ll Do:
- Acts as a focal point for the entire project execution team and facilitates intra-team communication.
- Leads the development and presentation of projects as it relates to resources, budget and timeline.
- Provides portfolio view of projects including budget, timeline, resource commitment and expected payback.
- Creates and manages the project schedule, including dependencies and resource requirements from concept through project closure.
- Manages commercialization and product launch plans and coordinates all organizational areas including Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Product Development, Supply Chain etc. through all phases of project to successful execution.
- Tracks and measures project schedule compliance, performance v. goal, and overall achievement of objectives at various stages of the project lifecycle
- Manages the resolution and escalation of project issues.
- Facilitates decision-making and manages project communications to relevant stakeholders.
- Responsible for driving compliance through all projects (new product development and existing product changes)
- Ensure compliance with established Masco Canada Compliance Policy
- Evaluates project management tools and makes recommendations as appropriate.
- Provides input into the overall NPD portfolio process for adding, deleting, and changing projects within the portfolio based upon feasibility of execution.
- Facilitates post-launch review meetings to discuss lessons learned, spend v. budget, schedule and obtainment of goals.
