Job Description

Yurek Specialties Limited is a state-of-the-art processing facility in London, ON, which features the latest equipment to support the processing, production, and delivery of medical supplies and infusion equipment, along with related supplies, to the Elgin, Norfolk, Oxford, London-Middlesex, Huron, Perth, Grey, Bruce and Grand River counties.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer & Quality Systems Specialist to join our Business Infrastructure team on a 3-month contract at our London facility.

Job Summary:
In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting quality processes and assessments, with a strong focus on reviewing procedural deviations, conducting internal assessments and managing controlled changes.

You should be passionate about analyzing non-conformances and have the ability to provide clear, concise written evaluations of discrepancies. Your excellent communication skills and experience will allow you to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts across all levels of the company, ensuring that reports are comprehensive and accurate. Additionally, you should have a talent for writing and editing procedures that are both easy to follow and effective in producing consistent outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Promote organizational compliance with accrediting agencies, state, and federal regulations.
  • Write, revise, and edit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assist document owners in the creation and revision of SOPs.
  • Manage Yurek Specialties’ document control process.
  • Ensure consistency across departments when policies or procedures change.
  • Conduct investigations for non-conformance occurrences.
  • Coordinate change control routing and processing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
  • Experience in technical writing, particularly in regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or healthcare is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
