Service Loader Operator
As one of Ontario’s established integrated construction services companies, the John Aarts Group Ltd., which includes J-AAR Excavating, AAROC Aggregates, AAROC Equipment, Concrete Forming (1980) and Dutch Brothers Ready Mix is proud to have participated in the growth and development of Southwestern Ontario.
We are seeking a Service Loader who is aspiring to reach their potential in the field of construction. Dutch Brothers is part of the John Aarts Group responsible for the ready-mix concrete plant.
Environment
While operating a wheel loader you will be working at the most sophisticated batch plant in this area. Operating may occur in all types of weather conditions and there is a varying degree of physical labour required. Ability to work a variable start/stop shift according to production schedule.
How you will make an IMPACT
- Operate Wheel Loader effectively and efficiently
- Receive, stockpile, and assist with coordination of incoming aggregates
- Load feeder bin according to products required, manage material storage bins and grade haulage routes
- Maintain equipment – grease, fluids, standard upkeep
- Report damaged or faulty equipment to management
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance
- Feeder and elevating conveyor operation and maintenance
- Keep processing area clean and in order
- Form pads and strip/maintain boxes for returned concrete
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances
- Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor to facilitate prompt correction or reporting
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
- Keep detailed and accurate reports and documentation as required
- Other duties as assigned
How you WOW us
- 1-3 years related experience preferred
- Product and industry knowledge is an asset
- Valid G Driver’s License with clean abstract
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to keep accurate records
- Basic Computers skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated commitment to Health & Safety
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
