Job Description
Production Planner

Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule and create work orders for production according to previously established manufacturing sequences, cycle times and lead-time
- Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage
- Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory
- Work closely with production, engineering & supply chain teams to make sure that production is on plan and meets customer demand
- Process work orders and ensure that all necessary administrative paperwork is up to date and accurate
- Provides inputs/reports to management regarding problems such as scheduling problems, material shortages, manufacturing changes and backlogs
- Participate in regular production scheduling meetings for capacity and material planning
- Other related duties as assigned
Skills & Experience:
- Post-secondary education
- Minimum of three (3) years related experience
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Understanding and experience with BOM’s, material planning and planning systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
- Meticulous and diligent
- Prior experience as a production planner is preferred
- CPIM certification preferred
