Regulatory Affairs Analyst III - (Canada - Contract)

This position will last till June 2023, it is a fixed term contract to cover a temporary leave.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting into the Customer Regulatory Manager, the Regulatory Analyst will be responsible for the generation, verification, and maintenance of regulatory and quality information for the Americas organization and supports commercialization processes, conformance to regulations, McCormick procedures/policies and customer requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates and manages regulatory and quality data in service of providing technical information to internal and external customers, including submitting regulatory information to government agencies and third parties as needed.
• Manages fulfillment and delivery of regulatory tasks to meet business need.
• Interprets, applies, and tracks regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements.
• Provides inter- and intradepartmental training on technical topics as required by the business.
• Develops an understanding of processes, procedures, focus of cross functional partners.
• Understanding of Food/Flavor Industry standards and requirements
• Ability to assess and communicate gaps to Food/Flavor Industry standards
• Awareness Regulatory legislation, including an understanding of the associated business ramifications and impact
• Knowledge of ingredients/ formulas and their required documentation and associated systems to meet business needs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline OR Relevant McCormick experience in a technical field while in pursuit of a degree could also be considered.
• 2 years of experience in Quality or Regulatory or related function, including Supply Chain, Product Development.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in the Food/Flavor Industry preferred 
• Food labeling course preferred
• Introduction to Regulatory course and Food & Drug Law course preferred
