About the Opportunity

 

IMT Precision has an exciting opportunity for full-time Inventory Coordinator, Manufacturing roles, based in Ingersoll, ON. This position operates primarily on an afternoon shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM), but candidates must have the flexibility to work day shifts as needed to meet the organization’s requirements.

 

Reporting to the Materials Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving inventory accuracy and efficiency across the organization.

 

In this position, you will be ensuring accurate material records, and coordinating with various departments to optimize inventory processes.

 

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Investigating and correcting discrepancies in reported inventory quantities and locations
  • Executing daily cycle counts and ensuring compliance with the established program
  • Working towards and consistently achieving KPI/performance goals set by the Inventory Manager
  • Coordinating with inventory, logistics, and purchasing teams to facilitate material flow
  • Maintaining accurate digital inventory records, including journal entries and material movements
  • Monitoring subcontractor inventories and facilitating necessary transfers and adjustments
  • Managing stock rotation using best inventory practices such as FIFO
  • Overseeing packaging materials and ensuring timely kitting for production operations
  • Assisting with physical transfers of materials to subcontractor and offsite warehouse locations
  • Supporting annual physical inventory processes and assisting in year-end adjustments

More About You

 

To qualify, you will need 1- 3 years of experience in inventory control or a related field, preferably with a Post-Secondary degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. Applicants with substantial experience and at least a high school diploma will be considered.

 

Registration with the Controlled Goods Program is mandatory for any person examining, possessing or transferring controlled goods in Canada. To register with the Controlled Goods Program, you must have citizenship or permanent residency.

 

The following skills and experience will be strong attributes:

  • Microsoft Excel Proficiency – Intermediate or above
  • Knowledge of materials procedures in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with inventory control and cycle counting
  • Familiarity with warehousing, shipping, and receiving practices such as FIFO (First-In-First-Out)
  • Proficiency in using both manual and computerized inventory systems, including experience with DAX MRP systems
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines with frequent interruptions
  • Flexibility to work additional hours per business needs
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to undergo a Police Information Check and Criminal Record Review Act Check, with full consideration given to all outcomes
