Job Description
Industrial Controls Technician
Givens Machine Systems is currently accepting applications for a controls specialist. The work includes designing/drawing and wiring industrial controls as well as PLC programming and installation. The ability to program PLC's is most valuable, specifically, Toyotpuc, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi and Siemens. Our products range from industrial cranes & manipulators, to custom machinery and automation. In addition to electrical work, the candidate must be willing to work with pneumatic, hydraulic & mechanical projects. There are also ongoing R&D projects that require controls expertise.
We are looking for someone, ideally, with more than five years of experience. You would be working alongside four other electricians of varying experience, but usually working independently from one another.
Health and Dental Benefits package is available after 3 months; a pension plan begins after 1 year.
Work is usually straight days with weekends off, but weekend work and overtime occur from time to time. Because our workload varies constantly, overloads are handled with overtime.
