High Speed Packaging Production Supervisor

  • You will report to the Production Manager.

  • You communicate and collaborate with other departments and provide excellent internal customer service. 
  • You will be a key member of the leadership team that will contribute to the success of Dr. Oetker
  • You are able to identify, investigate and resolve packaging issues that hinder production efficiency,
  • You are responsible for the performacne and productivity of the equipment on the line
  • You will oversee the operating of multiple high-speed production lines; monitoring run-rate, waste, while ensuring the highest levels of safety, quality and productivity.
  • Identify and track key performance metrics.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects within your department.
  • Proactively identify possible areas of concern and provide solution to limit work process interruptions.
  • You will work extensively with SAP.
  • You create/update/implement Standard Operating Procedures
  • You will ensure quality output is achieved via adherence to recipes and specifications..
  • You will meet performance standards related to product disposal costs due to production errors, the number of pizzas produced per hour, waste reduction, labour efficiency, Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR), and customer complaint reduction.
  • You will troubleshoot faults and inform maintenance of any signs of equipment failure and support maintenance during product changeover.
  • You are responsible for the department‘s optimal use of materials, machinery and labour.
  • You understand that management may at its discretion reassign you to a different department based on operational need. 

Your Strengths:

  • You have earned your High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years’ supervisory
  • You have 2-3 years experience managing a high-speed packaging line  
  • You have strong technical kowledge to optimize line speeds
  • You have the ability to troubleshoot high speed packaging equipment, you can develop these skill sets to Machine Operators
  • Must be able to perform work of a technical nature, requiring the use of judgment and independent thinking.
  • Help gather information to continuousley improve preventative maintenance schedules on the packaging equipment
  • Experience in a unionized food manufacturing environment.
  • You possess sound knowledge of personal health and safety standards and preferably have experience in hygiene and food safety (HACCP) in a manufacturing environment. 
  • You have solid computer skills and you are proficient in technical understanding, reading text, document use, and numeracy. You have strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and the leadership team.
  • You have excellent leadership, change management, organization and problem solving skills. 
  • You possess sound judgment, critical thinking skills and the ability to make difficult, time sensitive decisions. You have excellent conflict resolution skills, diplomacy and tact.
  • You positively motivate and engage others and take disciplinary action when necessary. 
  • You have the ability to work according to tight schedules and timelines, managing process flow and function well independently and in a team environment.
  • You have the availability to work any shift.
