Role Overview:
You will be working at the Cambridge facility that has over 3 million square feet of buildings on a 70 acre site. Facilities Maintenance provides maintenance and troubleshooting response for building, site, electrical distribution & utility infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Equipment responsibilities will include; power distribution (including high voltage), emergency generators, building HVAC and exhaust fans, highbay and emergency lighting, exterior and interior lighting, dock doors, sanitary and storm systems, building envelope (roof, siding, windows), and the rail yard
- Operate within a multi-skilled environment to maintain facilities equipment, while improving processes to minimize disruption to the production line
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment in accordance with standardized procedures
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, drives, bearings, and gears
Requirements:
- An Ontario or Inter-Provincial (442A/309A/Red Seal) Electrician Certificate of Qualification is required
- Completion of Apprenticeship as an Electrician with relevant work experience is preferred or 5 years of relevant work experience as a Licensed Electrician
- Demonstrated hands on experience and skills for troubleshooting and repairing different types of electrical and mechanical building systems equipment (ventilation systems, HVAC, overhead doors, lighting, and railyard equipment)
- Mechanical aptitude/interest
- Comfortable with working at heights, in confined spaces and outside
- Demonstrated experience working with high voltage switches (including 26700 V) is preferred
- Ability to work a 2-shift rotation
- Ability to work at either the Cambridge or Woodstock facility
