To supervise, manage, and maintain controls on existing and incoming machinery. You will support maintenance, engineering and production in resolving issues with equipment, and to improve operational efficiency. As the Control Specialist you will act as the functional coordinator to the control’s technician in alignment with the priorities and direction of the department and company.

- Develop a safe PLC program in accordance with OSHA, CSA standards for automated system.
- Familiar with various safety circuit, PLC programs and modification capability.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Able to prioritize work and effectively support the company.
- Able to multitask and work with interruptions.
- Understanding of OSHA, CSA, ANSI, RIA standards.
- To share knowledge, train and develop other supports functions (Control Technician, maintenance and engineers).
- Set standards for programming logic on PLC and robotics systems.
- Maintain latest files on back up system.
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related engineering experience.
- 3 years of progressive related experience.
- Background in machine controls design, robotic controls, Automation and programming is required.
- Strong understanding in production and troubleshooting is required.
- Must show strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, leadership computer skills and time management skills.
- Must have positive attitude.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines and execute multiple project task.
- Ability to work openly in a team environment and communicate ideas and problems clearly to the projects team.
- Must understand a Manufacturing Production system.
