We are seeking a Foreman for our Materials Group who will play a critical role in ensuring safe and efficient production at multiple locations. We are a family-owned sand and gravel operation with 10 points of sale in Southwestern Ontario. We pride ourselves on producing high quality materials with excellent customer service. Environment
The foreman will support two area Superintendents in coordinating production, equipment, personnel, and safety across the network of sand and gravel pit as well as supporting contract crushing operations as needed. As part of our succession planning strategy, this role offers a development path into senior leadership and will act as direct backup to the Superintendents to ensure continuity, stability and coverage across operations.
How you will make an IMPACT
- Support daily operations of sand and gravel pits, including coordination of equipment, materials, and personnel
- Coordinate with Superintendents to align activities with project schedules and production goals
- Oversee and support contract crushing operations, including mobilization and crew supervision
- Monitor production targets and optimize efficiency, quality, and throughput
- Lead by example in fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, policies, and environmental standards
- Train, coach, and supervise site staff and equipment operators
- Troubleshoot and escalate operational issues to Superintendents as required
- Conduct routine inspections to maintain equipment performance and site safety
- Act as site leader in the absence of Superintendents, ensuring clear communication across teams
- Contribute to planning, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts
How you WOW us
- Minimum 2-5 years in aggregate operations
- Understanding of aggregate processing, equipment, blending, and material gradation
- Energetic, positive, team oriented with a focus on solutions
- Leadership experience with the ability to support and motivate multi-site crews
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong knowledge of safety and environmental standards and compliance
- Self-directed and capable of making sound decisions under pressure
- Valid Ontario driver’s license (Class G required; DZ or AZ an asset).
- Willingness to travel daily between pit locations and contract sites as required
