Process Engineer, E.I.T. (Engineer In Training)
Description
IntroductionThis position reports to the Director of Engineering & Maintenance. The Process EIT is responsible for project management of new process/equipment implementation, identifying and leading continuous improvement opportunities, and technical troubleshooting of existing equipment across Motif’s operations.

As well as operating a business-to-business enterprise, offering toll processing and contract manufacturing serviced to Licensed Producers (LP’s) and 3rd Party Brands. Position Overview:
- Manage the design and execution of projects including implementation of new processes, commissioning new equipment and improving process efficiencies
- Evaluating all potential solutions for a project, including conceptualizing innovative solutions (ie. designing equipment), to present a technically supported recommendation to all stakeholders for approval
- Collection and analysis of data required to assess bottlenecks throughout site, quantity return on investment, identify correlations in data to drive process improvements, etc.
- Providing engineering support to Operations for troubleshooting existing processes and to the Innovation Department for R&D
- Developing online tools to improve workflow, data extraction, etc.
- Sourcing equipment and tools to support production
- Documentation; developing checklists, drafting work instructions, data verification, etc.
- Hands on duties including assisting with production activities and assembling equipment, as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering required
- Experience working in a production/manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry is preferred
- Experience with process optimization and project management is an asset
- Experience within Cannabis industry is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Positive attitude with strong communication skills
- Strong time management skills including ability to multitask and prioritize
- Shows initiative and ownership of work and willingness to learn
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
