Position Summary

The Technical Sales Leader is a growth-focused, technically capable sales professional responsible for expanding Arrow Engineered Products’ presence beyond nuclear, with a primary emphasis on industrial processing and engineered equipment solutions. This role is ideal for a motivated sales seeker who enjoys opening new markets, developing long-term customer relationships, and growing into broader leadership responsibility across AEP.

This role is intentionally designed to focus on industrial and chemical processing markets, including chemical processing, energy (non-nuclear), water & wastewater, hydrogen, and advanced manufacturing.

This position blends business development, technical sales, and estimating, offering a clear pathway to expanded responsibility across multiple AEP facilities and product lines.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Grow AEP’s industrial processing revenue through new customer acquisition and deeper penetration of existing accounts
  • Establish AEP as a preferred supplier of engineered tanks, vessels, pressure equipment, and complex fabrications
  • Develop a diversified sales pipeline that reduces reliance on nuclear programs while complementing them
  • Build personal technical and commercial expertise across AEP’s full portfolio
  • Develop and execute sales strategies focused on industrial processing markets, including tanks, vessels, autoclaves, and mechanical systems
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new customers and projects aligned with AEP’s fabrication capabilities
  • Segment markets and prioritize opportunities based on margin, repeat potential, and strategic fit
  • Build and maintain a healthy opportunity funnel with accurate forecasting
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, translating process requirements into engineered solutions
  • Lead customer meetings, plant tours, and technical reviews
  • Strengthen long-term relationships with EPCs, OEMs, and end users
  • Support repeat business through proactive account development
  • Develop a strong working understanding of AEP’s estimating methodologies, cost drivers, and pricing models
  • Collaborate closely with estimating, engineering, and operations teams to ensure bids are competitive and executable
  • Challenge assumptions and provide market intelligence to support competitive pricing decisions
  • Ensure customer requirements, scope clarity, and commercial risks are well understood before bid submission
  • Work closely with Operations and Engineering to align sales commitments with production capability
  • Partner with marketing to develop sales tools, presentations, and market messaging
  • Provide market feedback to support continuous improvement and new product development
  • Support cross-selling opportunities between facilities (Cambridge North, Cambridge South, Stratford, Woodstock)
  • Develop toward broader commercial or leadership roles as the business grows

Educational Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Business, or a technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of technical or engineered-product sales experience

Required Skills & Expertise

  • Experience in industrial processing, pressure equipment, or custom fabrication preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude with tanks, vessels, pressure equipment, and mechanical fabrications
