    We are hiring a Director of Retail Sales!

     

    This position is based out of either of our locations in Mississauga, ON or St. Thomas, ON.

     

    The Director of Retail Sales is responsible for shaping the overall customer business strategy for the channel, delivering against profit, revenue and share goals.  You are responsible for leading the development and implementation of multi-functional joint business plans with our customer base.  In addition, as a member of the Retail Sales Leadership team, you will help shape forward-looking strategy for Masco to win, considering current and developing market trends and dynamics.  A core responsibility in this role also includes the skill development and delivery of direct reports (Account Managers).

    What You Will Do:

    • Cultivate relationships with relevant customer contacts/ leaders, identifying opportunities for growth, issue resolution, long-term joint business planning and score carding

    • Develop detailed customer plans, linking brand objectives to account objectives in order to deliver business targets

    • Leverage an analytical approach to business development and issue resolution, with a payout mentality

    • Build collaborative internal relationships, with a multi-functional team approach to enable business objectives

    • Lead and develop talent, creating an engaged and energized high performance team

    • Model leadership behaviour including accountability, decisiveness, a solutions-orientation, collaboration, and a strong market focus

    • Ensure executional excellence, with best in class service levels

    • Responsible for collaborative inventory planning to manage fill-rate performance and to reduce potential inventory liability. Develop and manage channel specific forecasts.

    • Ensure proper pricing strategy exists considering all strategic distribution channels

    • Develop budgets/plans that add value and accomplish business objectives.  Ensure areas and/or projects managed directly are operating within budget and time guidelines.

    • Establish standards of performance that clearly communicate expectations and build accountability

    • Bilingual – French/English is an asset

    • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university in business or related field

    • Minimum of 8-10 year’s selling experience preferred (experience in category management, customer service, finance or supply chain is valuable)

    • Knowledge of Plumbing products and competitors preferable
