If you are a senior power electronics engineer who wants to work on technically challenging, real world designsnot incremental tweaks or siloed workthis role offers a rare opportunity.

As a key member of our Hardware Engineering team, you will design, develop, and sustain advanced power electronics and lamp driver technologies that enable ultraviolet (UV) water treatment systems used to protect public health and the environment around the world.

This is a handson technical role with ownership from concept through production, working on both new product development and the evolution of existing, fieldproven designs. Your work will directly influence our technology roadmap and the next generation of UV systems.

Why This Role Is Different

  • Endtoend ownership You wont just design blocks on a schematic. Youll architect complete power solutions, prototype them, validate them, and see them into production.
  • Real engineering problems Highpower, highvoltage designs, custom magnetics, EMC challenges, reliability tradeoffs, and field troubleshooting.
  • Meaningful impact Your work enables safe water and environmental protection at a global scale.
  • Depth A technically strong, collaborative team that values engineering rigor and practical execution.

What Youll Do

In this seniorlevel role, you will take ownership of advanced power electronics development for UV lamp drivers and related systems. Your work will include:

  • Leading the design and development of power electronics for UV light sources, from concept through production.
  • Selecting and applying conversion topologies and control circuits appropriate for highpower applications.
  • Designing microcontrollerbased control circuitry and collaborating closely with firmware engineers on control strategies.
  • Designing and specifying custom magnetic components and associated hardware.
  • Creating schematics, managing PCB layout, and overseeing component selection.
  • Prototyping, testing, and validating power electronic assemblies in a lab environment.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and EMC requirements.
  • Supporting thermal, mechanical, and reliability design considerations.
  • Performing rootcause analysis, troubleshooting, and failure investigations on existing products.
  • Supporting sustainment activities, including component obsolescence and reliability improvements.
  • Creating and maintaining engineering documentation, technical reports, and BOMs.
  • Designing and deploying test fixtures and applying structured problemsolving methods.
  • Contributing technical insight to product and technology roadmaps.

What You Bring

Required experience and skills:

  • 1015+ years of handson experience in power electronics design with proven ability to analyze, select, and apply power conversion topologies and control circuits.
  • Experience with microcontrollerbased control circuits and associated firmware concepts.
  • Strong background in PCB CAD tools, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
  • Experience designing custom magnetics and highpower electronic assemblies.
  • Demonstrated success delivering robust, productionready designs, not just prototypes.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with lamp drivers, electronic ballasts, motor drives, or similar highpower systems.
  • Experience designing products that meet UL / regulatory requirements.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation.

Why Join Us

Youll join a technically strong team working on core technology, not oneoff custom projects. This role exists because the business is investing in longterm capability, succession, and innovationnot because someone left.

If you enjoy owning complex designs, working through ambiguity, and seeing your work make a tangible difference in the world, this is the kind of role engineers stay in for years.

We offer:

  • Flexible working hours
  • Professional onboarding and training options
  • Powerful team looking forward to working with you
  • Career coaching and development opportunities
  • Health benefits
