Job Description

We are hiring a Production Planner/Scheduler in our St. Thomas, ON location!

This position is responsible for the joint coordination of the planning and scheduling for the bathing business. This position under the direction of the Planning Supervisor will ensure that customer demand and service levels are met. Additionally, that production is planned to provide the best possible model mix, improving efficiency in the glassing line, while meeting inventory targets and providing a relevant, attainable schedule for the production team.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties:

• Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and advising personnel on safe work practices to meet Safety and 5S targets

• Develop and maintain weekly / daily production schedules for the bathing department; recognizing maximum capacity, model mix and special orders, using multi-level routing and bill of materials

• Ensure work orders that support Vacuum Forming are prepared in advance; maintenance and cleanup of those work orders

• Build Priority list to support glassing/packing activities that pertain to customer orders

• Schedule of modified units; ensuring components are available and lead times given upon request; balancing ability to produce with demand

• Daily maintenance and distribution of reports as the need arises to support the schedule

• Inventory/ production tracking reports

• Daily Fill Rate Misses and Weekly Backlog Summary

• Build ahead situations for peak demand periods; project orders and special circumstances

• Aged Orders Reports and Daily Expedite request Sheet for Customer Service,

• Short- and long-term production planning to maintain fill rate service level of 97% or greater

• Participate in or direct cross functional teams within the organization to implement process improvements or introduce new products.

• Assist in meeting departmental goals and objectives for the bathing team that align with the overall Masco Canada goals and objective.

• Ensure compliance with established Masco Internal Control procedures
