Kaizen Coordinator

Sodecia is an industrial corporation operating worldwide as a full service supplier in the Body in White, Powertrain, Safety & Interiors and Tools & Equipment. Sodecia Automotive London has two facilities within London and focuses in the Body In White division. We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team in the position of Kaizen Coordinator. This role would report to our Manufacturing Engineer Manger.

Job Description:

  • Training and orient all BU employees on kaizen concept, principles, tools and their application;
  • Identity and certify the Kaizen Multipliers according Sodecia group targets ;
  • Develop and support kaizen Multipliers (training, coach and mentor);
  • Understand and monitoring the KPI´s selected in each pillar Grow, Cost, Quality, Delivery and Motivation (Doc support -Gap chart Report);
  • Update in weekly base the KPI´s (18 KPI´s) to define the projects;
  • Analyze and present to BU’s Management Team, kaizen project in order to reduce or eliminate 7WASTES.
  • Defines 12 week forecast of kaizen projects and resources to reach the 2% savings (calculated in a 12 month perspective);
  • Assure Hoshim Karin Matrix (HKM) is always update;
  • Understand the cost structures of Business Unit. (P&L Report);
  • Able to calculate “payback analysis” on kaizen projects, with business unit management team and eventually other employee considered crucial to achieve an accurate analysis;
  • Summarize and report weekly and monthly all kaizen activities, performance results, activities forecast and trends;
  • Define and follow up all the PDCA concerning all kaizen activities in order to achieve all the Kaizen Targets;
  • Analyze all the investments in a production process perspective in order to validate if it is the “last” improvement solution;
  • Benchmarking best practices within Sodecia Group;
  • Participate in PGC meetings and define actions to reach the targets required (General Competitiveness Plan);
  • Develop and deploy internal controls and organizational metrics dashboards (Visual management);
  • Develop, manage and lead continuous process improvement strategies and initiatives according the BU strategy;
  • Define kaizen projects related with sustainability according Sodecia group targets;
  • Follow and accomplish the entire task at the Kaizen road Map 5W1H.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

Three to five years of progressively-responsible manufacturing experience

  • Business-related Bachelor’s degree
  • Three+ years experience in Continuous Improvement/Lean/5S
  • Lean manufacturing and/or process efficiency knowledge
  • Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Experience using statistical analyses
  • Adept with Microsoft business systems including Office Suite
  • Able to learn business-centric and/or proprietary computer systems and applications easily
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.

EQUIPMENT AND/OR PRODUCT:

· Computer system applications such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and other related systems.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Automotive and Manufacturing Environment.

  • Responsible to adhere to all IATF 16946 / Quality policies and procedures
  • Understand that Quality is EVERYONES responsibility
  • Prevent quality issues from happening either by not starting the process or by stopping it before a nonconformity has occurred.
  • Escalate Quality Issues immediately to my Supervisor or Manager – STOP, CONTAIN & REPORT
  • Attend all Quality training deemed required by Sodecia

· Ensure that you work and operate equipment according to the safety rules and regulations.

· Participate in 5S activities.

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
