About the Role

As Technical Cleanliness Specialist you are reporting to the Manager of Laboratory. With your Expertise you will be responsible for the Cleanliness Team in the Quality Laboratory. You will train your Team in all standards, related to technical Cleanliness. You will be responsible together with your Team to define, implement and developing all necessary standards in technical Cleanliness to avoid any cleanliness related risks for our Products. This will include planning activities in the field of quality assurance for the laboratories, production areas and facilities. You will play a key role in the planning, build-up, ramp-up and execution of the Cleanliness Concept of the Factory, taking part in the complete project phase of a factory build up.

This is a flex hybrid work structure, where employees can work both remotely and on-site at our St. Thomas location.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for technical cleanliness analysis and related work in the TC Quality.
• Training, guidance and task setting of the Technical Cleanliness Team.
• Further developing of test method.
• Summarizing of test results.
• Planning concept definition for sampling methods and the technical specifications for the stamps and traps devices.
• Further development of techniques and procedures, including analysis and evaluation of alternative solutions.
• Create plan for traps and stamp’s location and frequency of testing.
• Define and implement testing methods to warranty the conservation of the samples and the well management of the results.
• To inform teams out of Quality about activities planned or special controls required.
• Develop standards that supports the Company to prevent material rejections due contamination particle related.
• Performing complex analyses on raw materials, intermediates, and battery cells
• Supervision of the equipment for sample preparation (flow-boxes, stamps...)
• Supervision of the equipment for the analysis of samples (digital and scanning electron microscopes)
• Support in the development and industrialization of analytical methods
• Generate strategy for data collection and results reporting.
• Prepare executive summaries for high level discussions.
• Communicate finding, trends, improvements or risks using the appropriate channels at the right moment.
• Establish communication ways with other PowerCo facilities to share good practices.
• Bring experience to the team for decision making.
• Use data analysis approach to consolidate actions and results.
• Use Company defined tool for problem solving analysis and actions mainstream.
. • Define training content and qualification path for Quality Salary/Hourly and other areas for Cleanliness topics.
• Professional management and training of employees in sample preparation and standardized analyses
• Define resources for Cleanliness concept implementation, including equipment, consumables, headcount, and external alternative providers in case is needed.
• Look for new technologies or solutions that support daily basis activities.
• Develop Cleanliness Audit plan agreed with Company specifications and Gemba activities to maintain Cleanliness mindset within all organization levels.
•  Participation in the preparation and follow-up of System audits according to corporate standards.

What you bring to the Team

•    Education: University degree with technical background
•    Necessary skills, knowledge, certifications:

  • Knowledge in automotive, pharmaceutical, chemical or battery industry,
  • Knowledge in IATF 16949, VDA, Customer Specific Requirements and Automotive Quality Core Tools (PPAP, MSA, APQP, SPC, FMEA)
  • Proficiency in effectively communicating with personnel at all levels within a manufacturing plant.
  • Proactive and driven, adept at working autonomously while consistently adhering to industry-leading standards and methodologies, with a proactive approach to quality control and assurance.
  • Very good organization and coordination skills, strong ability to cooperate and high flexibility.
  • Good at solving problem and ability to prioritize tasks, strategic and analytical reasoning and thinking, communicative, self-discipline, good laboratory comprehension, teamwork, organizational skills, leadership, assertiveness.

•    Travel requirement (international or domestic):  50% - global ramp up of different factories.
•    Soft skills/technical skills: Fluent in English, Problem-Solving, Planning and Coordination Skills, Decision Making, Conflict Management, Communication, Team Work.
