Senior Buyer
Description
IntroductionMotif Labs is looking for a well organized, self starter to join our Procurement team as a Senior Buyer! Reporting to the Procurement Supervisor, you will be responsible for handling all internal and external brand analysis and purchasing activities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day component analysis and purchasing activities related to all Brands.??
- Conduct tracking updates and monitoring systems related to component purchasing.??
- Maintain and control vendor files as they relate to cost, quantity, quality, and specifications.?
- Develop strong rapport with suppliers.?
- Assist in continuously improving re-order scheduling and delivery timelines.?
- Work closely with the Brands and Supply Chain teams on purchasing activities.?
- Work across multiple departments on expected incoming material and verify invoices.??
- Source competitive pricing and complete cost comparison initiatives?
- Actively participate and engage in continuous improvement strategies and cost reduction initiatives.?
- Assist with new product development projects when required.
- Work closely purchasing team members and support where required.
- Other Duties as assigned.??
- Post Secondary Education in related field??
- 2- 5 years related work experience in a purchasing role??
- Proven experience negotiating and managing vendor relationships?
- ERP/MRP experience an asset??
- Experience with Data analysis?
- Exceptional written and verbal communication/documentation skills?
- Ability to efficiently multi-task and schedule priorities?
- Experience using the Microsoft Office suite of products?
- Proven success in sourcing, purchasing, and partnering with suppliers?
- Excellent interpersonal, attention to detail and problem-solving skills?
- Superior organizational skills and planning skills?

WORKING CONDITIONS (ON SITE):
This role is performed on site at our production facility in Aylmer, Ontario and Motif provides all required PPE and has continued manufacturing safety protocols: a well-fitted mask must be worn at all times while inside our production areas and staff are to remain 2M+ apart unless otherwise communicated.
