As Supply Chain Associate, your responsibilities will include procuring materials and goods while balancing cost, quality, and lead times. You’ll manage purchase orders, monitor inventory levels, and collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely and efficient supply chain operations. This role also supports logistics, ERP data maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives across production and maintenance functions.

Please note this is a 21-month contract position.

More about your responsibilities:

  • Procurement & Supplier Management: Prepare and submit purchase orders, follow up with suppliers, and maintain strong relationships to ensure consistent supply and quality.
  • Inventory & Forecasting: Monitor on-hand inventory, review historical demand, and share forecasts with suppliers to align with future requirements.
  • ERP & Data Accuracy: Maintain accurate material master data and supplier costing in the ERP system to support effective inventory replenishment.
  • Logistics Coordination: Track and trace shipments, monitor freight costs, and coordinate with approved vendors to ensure timely delivery.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Act as the liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers for production and maintenance orders.
  • Risk & Compliance: Identify and escalate supply risks, and ensure adherence to Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support cost-saving initiatives and vendor improvement activities to enhance supply chain performance.

What you’ll bring

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in supply chain, including procurement
  • Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Visual, JD Edwards)
  • PMAC designation is an asset
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
