The Oiler plays a crucial role in maintaining and operating the machinery. This position is vital for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the CNC Lathes and auxiliary equipment, focusing primarily on lubrication of mechanical systems and assistance in general maintenance duties. Oil-related issues and regular equipment check-ups are at the core of an Oiler’s responsibilities, making this role indispensable for the safety and functionality of our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain the lubrication of CNC Lathes and auxiliary equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
- Inspect and adjust lubrication levels for CNC Lathes and other machinery.
- Assist maintenance teams with equipment servicing, repairs, and workplace upkeep.
- Perform routine checks on lubrication systems, including distribution lines, filters, and lubricating pumps.
- Identify, record, and report any equipment performance issues to the maintenance supervisor and assist in corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with environmental policies regarding the handling and disposal of waste oil and lubricants.
- Provide operational support as needed.
- Participate in safety drills and uphold workplace safety procedures.
- Maintain tools and workspaces to ensure a clean and organized manufacturing environment.
- Keep detailed logs of machinery performance and maintenance activities.
- Conduct risk assessments to ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with regulations.
- Work in conditions that may involve exposure to dirt, noise, chemicals, and machine hazards.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of a training program in CNC, general equipment maintenance or a similar field is highly advantageous.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and experience with hazardous material handling are preferred.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and heavy lifting
- Excellent communication skills
- Forklift experience an asset
- Familiar with reading and understanding SDS sheets for proper handling, storage and PPE requirements
