Trudell Medical Limited is the Corporate entity within the Trudell Medical Group of Companies and operates out of our offices in London, Ontario Canada.

 

Privacy Specialist is a role in our Corporate Legal team.

 

This is an office-based role with the option of a hybrid work arrangement.

 

Must be available to come into the London, Ontario office 3 days per week.

You have the ability to manage requirements elicitation activities with a variety of stakeholders and manage a workload that involves tasks from concurrently running initiatives.

 

You have a post-secondary diploma in Law Clerk, Business Administration, Healthcare or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. A CIPP/C certification would be an asset. You have excellent confidentiality and discretion as well as organizational skills, attention to detail and follow up. You have advanced skills with Microsoft Office and experience with database systems. You are able to multi task in a high pace environment and communicate effectively.

 

Specifically, you will focus on:

 

Global Privacy Administration

  • Assist with the monitoring of privacy compliance programs within the organization
  • Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of privacy policies and training programs
  • Assist with the management of privacy related incidents, including investigation, reporting and remediation actions
  • Monitor and manage privacy risks, identifying areas for improvement and recommending mitigation strategies
  • Assist with the development of work flows to address identified gaps and deficiencies in the organization’s privacy programs
  • Assist with the establishment and maintenance of privacy record keeping requirements
  • Conduct vendor due diligence assessments, and privacy impact assessments
  • Conduct research on privacy related issues and prepare formal reports regarding the research
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and remaining current on privacy and security laws and regulations that impact the privacy programs of the organization

 

Communication and Collaboration

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently communicate with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Willingly to encourage a culture of privacy awareness and collaboration across the organization to foster a unified approach to data protection
  • Facilitate effective communication between departments to ensure alignment on privacy goals and compliance requirements

 

General Administration

  • Create, review and update precedent forms
  • Draft letters and memos in a self-directed manner, as required
  • Schedule meetings and appointments as they relate to the above matters
  • Assist Director, Global Privacy with other department related tasks as requested
