Paint & Stain Technician

As a Paint & Stain Technician, you will work with fellow production team members applying stain/paint to fibreglass or steel doors and components. You will be responsible for stain/paint set up, surface prep., application, finishing, and any repairs needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Knowledge of applying paint and or stain by hand using a paint brush or spray gun to achieve quality finished products.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn new tools and equipment quickly.
• Execute appropriate operation and maintenance of machinery and production equipment.
• Must be self-directed with an ability to work with limited supervision.
• Quality driven with the ability to meet daily production goals.
• Good housekeeping practices.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good attendance and works well with fellow Production Team Members.
• The ability to operate the following equipment efficiently and safely is an asset: router, chop saw, table saw, drills, air nailers, hand tools.

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience applying stain and or paint by hand or spray gun.
• Knowledge of sanding, taping, grinding, filling and or repairing parts for paint application is an asset.
• Previous work experience in a production facility.
