Your Role Includes
- Reviewing and stamping mechanical projects of all complexities and sizes
- Directing design strategies and concepts on complex projects
- Leading audits, feasibility assessments, and investigations, and writing corresponding reports
- Conducting site visits, reviews, and construction phase services
- Supporting the continuous development of mechanical design standards and practices
- Mentoring intermediate and junior-level engineers and designers
What You Bring to the Team
- Design experience with central plant systems, including hot water, steam, and chilled water systems
- Significant exposure to DDC control systems, including writing sequences of operations, specifications, and troubleshooting on-site control issues
- Extensive knowledge of codes and standards including CSA Z317 for healthcare
- Design experience across multiple industries which may include commercial, industrial, educational, multi-unit residential, healthcare, or government
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to organize, multitask and work well under deadlines
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to share ideas with a track record of sound judgement and decision-making
- Professional engineering license in Ontario with 10+ years of design experience in the building construction industry and at least 5 years in Canada
