The Focus Factory Manager – Process Improvement will be responsible to support the Manufacturing and Operations team to optimize process and drive a culture of DBS (Danaher Business System).  This includes understanding value streams and driving continuous improvement through the operations, while focusing on supporting the achievement of our core measures of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Productivity. This role will manage a team of 5 Manufacturing Engineers.

This role will support training and development of a DBS mindset with the Manufacturing team drive a focus to always be looking for ways to improve but also drive sustainment of those changes. This will include involving and training all associates in DBS.  In addition, will be the expert on change management so we’ll rely on your proficiency in handling large, systemic changes effectively.

Accountabilities

• Drive DBS Fundamentals and culture into the Manufacturing teams

• Benchmark and incorporate standard methodologies from other Danaher sites

• Support problem solving processes using DBS tools

• Assist in monitoring of sustainment of Kaizen events

• Identify and share standard methodologies across the manufacturing organization

• Embrace and promote continuous improvement, safeguarding and monitoring said improvements

• Lead projects that arise from the continuous improvement approach

• Develop and guide the team to build a learning organization that organizes processes as efficiently and as effectively as possible

Qualifications:

• Higher education (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) required and preferred areas of study are: Management and Production Engineering or other Engineering/Technical

• 3+ years of proven experience within Lean Management (Toyota Production System)

• 3+ years of meaningful experience from manufacturing industry in a similar role in a production area in any branch

• Extensive Gemba based continuous improvement experience based on Lean tools, including proven deep knowledge in 5S, Standard Work, Daily Management, Problem Solving (PSP) and Value Stream Mapping

• Ability to mentor and facilitate lean culture and open for change management

• Excellent listener, good presenter with good sense of humor and open attitude, knows how to encourage people
