Signal Processing & Acoustic Developer

The entire group consists of more than 16,000 employees worldwide. Audioscan operates as an independent entity in Canada, with our own R&D, Production, Purchasing, Marketing and Support activities.

You will operate out of Dorchester at Audioscan which is one of our many global diagnostic brands. The other brands are placed in Denmark, UK, USA, and Germany. We sell our equipment in more than 100 countries through our own sales companies and external distributors.

Job Description

As a member of the research & development team, you will report to the Director of Research & Development. Main tasks and responsibilities will be in researching new technologies and adapting existing technologies for use in Audioscan products in the fields of signal processing and acoustics.

Responsibilities:

· Research, interpret, and prototype signal processing algorithms from scientific articles

· Develop real-time signal processing algorithms using digital signal processing, statistical, and machine learning methods

· Design and conduct experiments for testing systems of speakers, microphones, and other transducers

· Document and communicate findings and solutions to team

· Collaborate with external research partners on research projects

Experience and qualities:

· Creativity and desire to solve problems in a niche industry

· Deep knowledge of acoustics and signal processing principles

· Experience with one or more of Matlab, Octave, R, Python, or other equivalent language

Educational Requirements

University Degree in Electrical Engineering/Physics or equivalent
