Canduct Industries is a leading manufacturer in electrical insulation, primarily used for cooling for oil cooled transformers. Our team is expanding, and we are looking for a Purchasing & Inbound Logistics Coordinator in London, ON.

Purchasing Coordinator at Canduct Industries, London is responsible for sourcing and purchasing MRO materials, supplies, and services, as well as maintaining accurate purchase order records and status updates in the ERP system. Coordinate Logistics activities by tracking supplier ship dates, managing delivery schedules, supporting receiving operations with the Warehouse department, and communicating order status updates to Production and Customer Service teams. Role requires strong cross-functional collaboration to promote effective coordination between Buyers and Warehouse team, ensuring timely inbound planning, inventory accuracy, and data integrity across systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage MRO purchasing activities, including sourcing, ordering, supplier coordination, and delivery tracking.
  • Oversee the full purchase order lifecycle, ensuring accurate ERP records and timely status updates.
  • Maintain supplier communications to confirm orders, resolve issues, and expedite critical deliveries.
  • Generate and analyze weekly PO reports, validating supplier data and supporting buyer follow-up activities.
  • Reconcile purchase orders, receipts, and invoices, resolving discrepancies related to quality, quantity, pricing, and documentation.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments, working with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain shipping, customs, import/export, and freight documentation while supporting compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure material availability and support production schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify supply risks, and support cycle counts and annual inventory activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier performance, reduce supply chain risks, improve operational efficiency, and support safety and sustainability objectives.
  • Ensure all health and safety precautions are taken; policies are followed and enforced.
  • Purchasing & Inbound logistics coordinator may be reassigned to other work matching their qualifications from time to time and may also be required to complete other duties as assigned.
  • Purchasing & Inbound logistics coordinator will initiate, propose, or provide solutions related to potential process improvements to reduce or eliminate the generation of waste, the handling or disposal of waste through reclamation and/or recycling of material.

Qualified Candidates will have:

  • Requires general computer skills and must be proficient in the use of MS Office, email, can source information from the internet and internal databases and learn new software programs.
  • 2-4 years of Purchasing or logistic management experience.
  • Completed Post Secondary Education required
  • Clear, concise communication both verbal and written.
  • Works in collaboration with the hourly workers, Supervisors and Production Manager.
  • Professional behaviour and conduct with a balanced approach to resolving employee conflicts.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Attention to detail and problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize & effectively coordinate resources.
  • Good computer skills
  • Health & Safety awareness.
