As a Helper for the Narrow Web department, your responsibilities will include supporting the Press Operator in all aspects of production to ensure high-quality labels are printed efficiently. From preparing materials and assisting with setups to maintaining a clean and organized workspace, your role is essential in keeping the press running smoothly and meeting production goals.

As a Helper for the Narrow Web department, your responsibilities will include supporting the Press Operator in all aspects of production to ensure high-quality labels are printed efficiently. From preparing materials and assisting with setups to maintaining a clean and organized workspace, your role is essential in keeping the press running smoothly and meeting production goals.
More about your responsibilities:
- Press Setup & Maintenance: Assist with press setup, including mounting plates and dies, installing dies and cylinders, and performing routine wash-ups and maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
- Ink & Print Preparation: Deliver inks to press, install them in the correct print decks, and ensure ink chambers are cleaned and ready for the next order.
- Stock & Product Handling: Load and remove rolls of stock from the press, move finished products from the press area, and record roll tag numbers to prepare for the next order.
- Cleanliness & Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of the press area, including cleaning all press parts and pumps, maintaining the Sonic Cleaners for Anilox rollers, and supporting regular maintenance tasks.
- Collaboration & Support: Assist operators and Packers as needed, ensuring seamless coordination and support for production efficiency.
- Minimum High School Diploma.
- 1+ years of manufacturing experience.
- An asset but not required:
- Experience in the printing/packaging industry.
- Flexographic (Flexo) printing experience.
