Base salary

Your daily role

You will report to the Plant Manager and join a team that is committed to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our boilers, ammonia compressors, and related equipment  according to established schedules, safety and quality procedures while striving to continually improve all facets of the business.

• Assume a leadership role in the plant safety, food safety, waste reduction program; ensure production process planning objectives are met while continually analyzing, planning and implementing process improvements;
• Develop a formalized system for quality control which ensures all refrigeration and steam boiler maintenance work was done properly,  safely and meets regulatory requirements associated with TSSA 
• Ensures the life of machinery is enhanced; reduction in equipment downtime; to support coaching and mentorship of team members; monitor  engineer’s daily log book , production reports and provide weekly overview of operational performances
• Oversee and maintain emergency systems within the facilities 

Your profile

• 2-3 years of leadership experience
• Minimum 3rd Class Stationary Engineers Certificate
• Class “A” Refrigeration Certificate
• Excellent interpersonal/listening skills in order to interact with a diverse workforce; a communicator with proven leadership abilities;
• Mechanical knowledge and experience in preventative maintenance 
• Innovative, resourceful with a continuous improvement mindset;
• Outgoing, visible, and approachable with the ability to inspire and influence others;
• Problem solver with the courage to lead change
